What is EFT Tapping?

EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a mind-body practice that combines focused attention with gentle tapping on specific acupressure points.

Tapping can help reduce the intensity around difficult emotions, thoughts, and experiences, creating more space for calm and a new perspective.

A Japanese lens on healing and change

Japanese philosophy often holds space for imperfection, change, and what life leaves behind.

Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken pottery with gold, does not hide the cracks. It honors the history of what has been through and transformed.

I bring that same perspective into EFT Tapping: not forcing emotions away, but gently working with what is here and creating space for something new.

What can you bring to an EFT session?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

You might bring:

  • stress or overwhelm

  • procrastination or difficulty getting started

  • feeling stuck or unmotivated

  • a thought or belief you can’t seem to shift

  • an emotion that keeps resurfacing

  • fear around change or moving forward

  • something you simply want to feel differently about

We start with what feels most present for you and work from there.

What happens in a session?

What happens in an EFT session?

We begin with what feels most important to you that day.

Then:

1. We identify what’s present
A feeling, thought, memory, belief, or situation you want to work with.

2. We tap together
I guide you through gentle tapping while we stay connected to what you’re noticing.

3. We notice what shifts
We follow what comes up, without forcing a particular outcome.

Finish with:

There is no “right” way to experience EFT. We work at your pace.

Meet Kyoko

My name is Kyoko Swaile, NBC-HWC. I’m a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and RHC™ Registered Health Coach, with additional training in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Levels 1 and 2 through EFT International.

Drawing on my Japanese roots, my approach brings together EFT with Japanese perspectives on acceptance, imperfection, space, and transformation.

I believe meaningful change doesn’t have to come from pushing harder. Sometimes it begins by making space for what is already here.

A woman in a pink top, beige shorts, and beige heels stands outside the Buenos Aires Museo. She wears a white hat and carries a beige tote bag. The museum has a large green storefront window with white text that reads "Buenos Aires en un museo" and signing that says "Son tus #MuseosBA". The street in front has red brick pavement and a yellow line.
